Robot Naming Contest Winner Announced!

We received a staggering number of submissions (nearly 1,500 names!). A group of finalists were selected, and with the help of a week-long public vote, the winning names for our Mako SmartRobotics units have been determined! Say hello to S.A.M. and S.A.R.A.!
S.A.M. (Superbly Accurate Machine) and S.A.R.A. (Simply Amazing Robot Arm) received nearly 50% of the votes from the 6 pairs of final name submissions. Congratulations to Charla O’Dea of Belle Fourche for her winning submission! Charla, a big fan of BHSH’s exceptional care and superior service, stated that the inspiration for her name suggestions came as a nod to Dr. Sam Mortimer, father of our own Dr. Luke Mortimer. Charla said she felt having a male and female robot would make sense and then tried to think of a clever acronym that was relevant to what they do.
